Ice/Water Rescue Training

Ice Rescue
Training - The Victim Location A closer look
at the victim in open water. Getting ready
to suit up. Ready for the
                  safety lines.
Rescuer &
sled approaching the open water. Entering the
water from behind the victim to prevent his ice shelf
                  from breaking. Approaching the
victim slowly, encouraging him to hang on to the ice. Securing the
                  rescue harness.
Loading the
victim for transport. Back on the ice
thanks to the rope team back on shore. Just a little
more and the medics can take over. The rescue
                  sled.
